RedM hosting.

If you have run a FiveM city, nearly everything carries over, the resources folder, the server.cfg, txAdmin, but the frameworks and scripts themselves do not. VORP and RedEM:RP are both installed by you rather than preselected, and the resource list stays yours.

Where it runs

Every game server we run lives in Dallas, roughly central to North America, which keeps the delay between a click and what happens in game about even for players on either coast.

What is RedM server hosting?

RedM is to Red Dead Redemption 2 what FiveM is to GTA V: the same Cfx.re platform, letting communities run their own servers with custom scripts, jobs, maps and rules. A RedM server is the machine your frontier town runs on, open around the clock to anyone with a copy of the game.

Roleplay servers are heavier than their player counts suggest. Every script, every streamed asset and every database query costs something, and the Cfx.re server leans hard on one processor core to do it. High-clock AMD Ryzen 9 9950X machines and NVMe storage are what keep a town responsive when half the server is standing in Valentine at once.

Frameworks like VORP and RedEM:RP are installed onto the server rather than shipped with it, txAdmin handles deployment, restarts and bans through a private link that comes with your order at no extra cost, and a MySQL database is included for characters, jobs and inventories. Your resources folder and server.cfg are yours to edit, the same as they would be on a machine you owned.

Why choose our RedM hosting?

RedM communities are smaller than FiveM ones and a lot of hosts treat them as an afterthought. The hardware here is the same as the stack we point at FiveM cities, sized for what a frontier town actually costs to run.

Nothing is locked down. Your resources, your server.cfg, your database and your Cfx.re licence key all belong to you, so the server stays portable if you ever want to take it elsewhere.

If you are coming off another host, or off a machine under someone's desk, we will help you move the resources and the database across. Tell us on Discord what you are running and we will size it with you.

Protection from attacks

Rival servers sometimes get flooded with junk traffic to knock them offline. Cloudflare Magic Transit and CosmicGuard filter that out before it reaches you, and hardware filtering catches the sneakier attacks that pretend to be real players.

Real people, day and night

Tickets and Discord are answered around the clock by people who run game servers themselves. No scripts to read from, no waiting for office hours.

Backups you can roll back to

Your RedM server saves a copy of itself on a schedule, so a griefed world or a bad update is a restore rather than a disaster. Putting one back takes a couple of clicks in the panel, and you can download the files yourself any time with an SFTP app.

Questions

RedM hosting, answered.

Resource count and script quality decide real capacity far more than player numbers. 8 GB is enough for a lean resource list, 12 GB covers most communities on VORP or RedEM:RP, and large streamed asset sets push into 16-32 GB.
Same platform, different game. Both are Cfx.re projects, both use a resources folder and a server.cfg, and both are managed with txAdmin - but RedM runs against Red Dead Redemption 2, and frameworks and scripts are not interchangeable between them. If you have run a FiveM city before, nearly everything you learned carries over.
VORP and RedEM:RP both run on RedM, and you install whichever one you want rather than being handed a preselected stack. You can bring your own framework too. The resources folder is yours, so what ends up on the server is what your community actually uses.
Yes, and it is free. You generate a server key on the Cfx.re portal under your own account and put it in server.cfg, which means it stays yours if you ever move host. Players need to own Red Dead Redemption 2 on a supported platform to connect.
Yes. Copy your resources folder, server.cfg and a database dump off your current host, upload them, and import the SQL into your new database. Update server.cfg for the new address and port, keep or regenerate your Cfx.re key, and start it. Support can help if something does not come up cleanly.
Yes, on every plan at no extra cost. Game servers in Dallas sit behind Cloudflare Magic Transit and CosmicGuard, so floods of junk traffic are thrown away before they reach the machine, and so are the subtler attacks that imitate real players. It is always on - there is nothing to switch on and no add-on to buy.
