Rust hosting.

A Rust server lives on its wipe cycle, and a wipe is a job you run from the console and the file manager when the time comes. Oxide or Carbon is a choice in the panel, and a custom map loads from a file or a map URL.

Where it runs

Every game server we run lives in Dallas, roughly central to North America, which keeps the delay between a click and what happens in game about even for players on either coast.

What is Rust server hosting?

Rust is the survival game where a few hundred players share one map, raid each other and rebuild. A Rust server is the machine that map lives on, running day and night whether you are playing or not. Renting one means you pick the rules, the plugins and when the map wipes.

Rust leans hard on one fast processor core, so how quick the chip is matters more than how many cores it has. Our AMD Ryzen 9 9950X machines and fast solid-state storage keep the map moving and saving cleanly on a busy wipe day, when every corner of it is built on.

Oxide and Carbon are both supported and you pick one in the control panel, you can upload a custom map or point the server at a map URL, and you can roll a backup back. From a small vanilla server to a 300-player modded community, you can move up a size as you grow.

Why choose our Rust hosting?

The control panel gives you the console, the files, the plugin install and the settings, so there is no bare Linux box to wrestle with before a map is online.

uMod plugins and custom maps go on in a few clicks, and the console and file manager are open to you, so force wipe Thursday is a few minutes of work rather than a rebuild.

You keep full control of the community, on hardware built for Rust and backed by a support team that actually plays it.

Protection from attacks

Rival servers sometimes get flooded with junk traffic to knock them offline. Cloudflare Magic Transit and CosmicGuard filter that out before it reaches you, and hardware filtering catches the sneakier attacks that pretend to be real players.

Real people, day and night

Tickets and Discord are answered around the clock by people who run game servers themselves. No scripts to read from, no waiting for office hours.

Backups you can roll back to

Your Rust server saves a copy of itself on a schedule, so a griefed world or a bad update is a restore rather than a disaster. Putting one back takes a couple of clicks in the panel, and you can download the files yourself any time with an SFTP app.

Questions

Rust hosting, answered.

Map size and entity count push memory harder than player count alone. A small vanilla server on a modest map is workable at 6-8 GB, 12 GB is the default for an ordinary modded plugin stack, and large maps at high pop want 16-32 GB.
Yes, both. You pick one from the control panel and it installs on top of your server build; you run either Oxide or Carbon, not both at once. Plugins go in over the file manager or FTP as usual.
You run them yourself. A wipe means deleting the map and player data files, which you do from the file manager or the console, then restarting. There is no scheduled wipe task in the panel, so force wipe Thursday is a few minutes of work rather than something that happens on a timer. Take a backup first.
Yes. Custom maps are supported - upload the map file or point the server at a hosted map URL, then set it in your startup configuration. Custom maps generally need a matching plugin set, so check your stack before wipe day.
Plans are sized by RAM rather than a fixed slot cap, so you set the player limit yourself. The smaller tiers suit modest servers; the larger ones are what a few hundred concurrent players on a modded map needs. Comfortable pop depends on map size, entity count and how heavy your plugins are, so size with headroom for wipe day rather than for a quiet Tuesday.
Yes, on every plan at no extra cost. Game servers in Dallas sit behind Cloudflare Magic Transit and CosmicGuard, so floods of junk traffic are thrown away before they reach the machine, and so are the subtler attacks that imitate real players. It is always on - there is nothing to switch on and no add-on to buy.

Ready before next wipe.

Spin it up, seed the map, and post the IP before Thursday.
